Bairnsdale Regional Health Service’s careers expo next week is a chance for students, jobseekers and professionals to consider the range of employment opportunities at one of East Gippsland’s most vital community assets.
Take The Next Step: BRHS’ Careers Expo, will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday, 21 November, with activities held across the three hours. Come any time!
BRHS is East Gippsland’s largest hospital and the region’s largest employer, with 950 staff providing a wide array of medical, allied health and specialist health services to around 50,000 people.
BRHS Chief Executive Officer Vicki Farthing said the event is a chance for BRHS to showcase the vast array of clinical, non-clinical, administrative and volunteering opportunities that are available at the health service.
“The careers expo will demonstrate everything we can offer to students, jobseekers, professional people and medical and allied health staff,” she said.
“Anyone who attends can learn about our extensive range of employment opportunities, career pathways, study options, work experience and traineeship places, volunteering roles and the employment benefits available to our staff.
“Many of our people will give presentations about their roles, their journey through the workforce and their time with us, and we’re running tours through select areas of the hospital so people can see what our work environment is like.”
Representatives from local education providers and senior members of BRHS staff will be available to discuss career options, Vicki said. “The expo is a real one-stop shop for anyone considering working in the health sector,” she said.
“We have many clinical roles available, but non-clinical roles are just as important to a large healthcare provider like BRHS. We have a host of non-clinical roles including professional services, administration, maintenance and facilities, security and food services, to name just a few.
“Apart from our attractive employment benefits, we can offer people a rewarding and fulfilling role with job security that can help you on your new career, to build new skills, to take the next step to grow your career or even change you career path.”
