East Gippsland residents have a golden opportunity to consider a future working in the health sector with the Bairnsdale Regional Health Service Careers Expo.
The expo, to be held on Tuesday 19 November, is designed to highlight to people at all ages and stages of their careers how they can embark on a career in health and make a difference.
BRHS Acting CEO Kathy Kinrade said the whole of BRHS is supporting the careers expo.
“People may not realise the vast range of careers a health service like ours can offer. Beyond the medical, clinical and allied health roles most people think of, there are a host of jobs in support services, trades and corporate roles that help keep BRHS running,” she said.
“The careers expo is a chance for people to meet our staff, managers and local education providers, see presentations from members of the BRHS team about their career journeys and explore work opportunities, career pathways and study opportunities that BRHS can offer. There will also be tours of some of our departments.”
The expo is open to everyone – especially suitable for job seekers, students and people who are contemplating a career change, Kathy said.
“BRHS is East Gippsland’s largest employer and the region’s largest health care provider. We are a vital part of East Gippsland,” she said.
“A career with BRHS includes many additional benefits for you and for our community because you’ll be helping to support our organisation, which makes a big difference for people right across our community.
“The BRHS Careers Expo could lead to a new job or a career change that makes a positive difference to your life as well.”
The BRHS Careers Expo will be held on Tuesday 19 November between 3pm and 6pm in the Monash Building (facing Victoria Street, Bairnsdale). For more information, go to https://brhs.com.au/brhs-careers-expo-2024/.
