Dr Richard “Harry” Harris, SC, OAM, is an Australian anaesthetist and cave diver who played a crucial role in the Tham Luang cave rescue in Thailand.

Dr Harris will be one of the keynote speakers at Giant Steps this year, along with Professor Brett Sutton, and actor and author Magda Szubanski AO.

Giant Steps is Safer Care Victoria’s healthcare quality and safety conference, and it will be held online this year on May 12.

Given the 12 months we’ve all had, the focus this years is on how ‘crisis drives change’ and the themes:

  • Quality and safety
  • Emerging health challenges
  • Leadership
  • Delivering person centred care
