The wonderful Irish proverb says:
“Laughter is brightest where food is best.”
Said Harriet Van Horne:
“Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all.”
Julia Child added:
“People who love to eat are always the best people.”
You see the theme here – making and eating good food is one of the great joys of life.
That’s why your energetic PHEW committee is launching the first ever BRHS COVID Cook Off!
Each week staff will be encouraged to participate in a new cooking challenge.
There’ll be a new theme every week – like:
- Spiso ISO! Share one of your spicy dishes or attempt a new one!
- Your sweetest, yummiest dessert with no sugar!
- Show us your parma with a difference!
You’ll have a week to send in your recipe, some photos, and any comments about your dish.
One standout entry will be awarded the weekly prize!
To learn more, join the BRHS COVID Cook Off facebook group and find out the theme for that week. Post your recipe, photos of the dish and any comments.
Don’t worry, if you’re not on facebook you can email your entry to firstname.lastname@example.org
Entries must be posted by Wednesday of each week, at 12 noon, to be eligible for that week’s prize.
We’re hoping at the end of the 4-week cook off to have enough great recipes for a BRHS recipe book!
