Healthcare Workers’ Happy Ears Sing a Soft Thank You to Super Savers

It’s a question you have never been asked before, and will likely never be asked again.

What sound does 1,600 happy ears make?

(It’s like the soft falling of rain mixed with a very faint pinging of wind chimes.)

If you were listening very closely you could hear that lovely sound all across BRHS last week.

Last week Krystal delivered a final shipment of 200 ear-savers to BRHS staff, bringing to 800 (yes, 8 hundred) the number of these very handy garments she has made and given away to appreciative healthcare workers.

The reason for the ears’ happiness? 800 pairs of ear savers delivered to appreciative BRHS staff by lovely local lady Krystal Ciaglia.

Readers of the BRHS Blog will remember we posted last month of Krystal’s Great Ear Savers project, her way of saying thanks to BRHS for the help they have given her family over the years.

(What’s an ear-saver you say? It’s a clip or slim piece of material that attaches to each elastic loop of the face mask, and rests behind the head of the wearer. It keeps the elastic loops from pulling the back of your ears!)

In order to make so many ear-savers, however, Krystal needed lots of buttons, and so a huge thank you to all those locals that rummaged through their bottom drawers and donated buttons to Krystal’s effort.

From everyone here at BRHS, and their happy ears, thank you Krystal.
