Early indications are that elderly people are particularly vulnerable to Coronavirus.

And so we’re doing everything in our power to protect the residents of our Aged Care Facility, Maddocks Gardens.

That will mean some significant changes for those of you that visit Maddocks Gardens.

Per Federal Government direction passed down yesterday, here’s the new limits on visiting Maddocks Gardens:

  • Family members only
  • Only two visitors per resident each day
  • Visits restricted to resident’s room or outside
  • No visitors under the age of 16
  • No large groups or gatherings

We appreciate how significant this will be for those of you eager to stay in touch with your loved ones.

We have computers available for residents to take FaceTime or Skype video calls, so if you’d like to arrange that let us know – call our excellent Maddocks Gardens team at (03) 5150 3659.

To ensure the safety of our residents and staff, all visitors will be screened for the following:

  • Fever in the past 14 days
  • Recent respiratory infection
  • Overseas travel in past 14 days, or close contact with someone who has
  • Contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or is awaiting results

If you have any questions or concerns, please call Maddocks Gardens at (03) 5150 3659.

Restrictions also apply to visitors to the hospital.

Limit nonessential visits to the hospital. If you do need to visit, please keep to a maximum of 2 guests.

Have an appointment with us?

If you’re well and don’t meet any of those criteria listed above, we are eager to serve you as normal.

But, if you have an appointment with us and you’re unwell, unsure, or perhaps have a compromised immune system for whatever reason, give us a call and we can reschedule your appointment.

Wondering if you need to be tested?
