New Sexual Health Clinic in Bairnsdale For Young People and Those Without Adequate Services

Our good friends at Gippsland Lakes Complete Health have opened a new clinic that provides sexual and reproductive health services for young people, particularly those that experience barriers to adequate sexual health services in the system at the moment.

Called Clinic 281, the service is designed specifically for people under 35, or those who experience complex psychosocial or social disadvantage including:

  • People experiencing, or at risk of homelessness
  • Alcohol or other drug use dependence
  • People living with complex mental health needs
  • LGBTIQA+
  • Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islanders
  • People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • People living with disabilities
  • People experiencing, or at risk of, family or sexual violence
  • People who have recently left prison.

Located in Main Street, Bairnsdale, Clinic 281 provides holistic sexual and reproductive health assessments, clinical interventions, and care coordination, with a focus on ensuring the upmost excellence in maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

Both male and female nurses are available, and clients are welcome to bring a friend or family member with them for support.
