Temporary COVID Vaccine Clinic at Bairnsdale City Oval Providing Both Pfizer and AstraZeneca


A temporary COVID-19 community vaccination clinic will be open Tuesday, June 15 and Wednesday, June 16 at the Bairnsdale City Oval, MacArthur Street, Bairnsdale.

The COVID vaccination clinic at the Bairnsdale City Oval is open 9 am – 3:30 pm, and we are offering both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.

All locals currently eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination can get their first or second vaccination dose there.

Although bookings are encouraged on 1800 675 398, walk-ins are welcome.

If you would like your COVID vaccine and are having issues booking over the phone, please just walk-in.

The remaining opening days for the vaccination clinic at this stage are:

  • Tuesday 15 June
  • Wednesday 16 June

The list of people eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination at this time includes everyone over the age of 40.

Other groups eligible to receive a vaccine include the following priority groups:

  • Healthcare workers
  • Aged care staff and residents
  • Disability care staff and residents
  • People with disability
  • Critical and high risk workers who are currently employed including,
    • defence force personnel
    • police, fire, emergency services workers
    • meat and seafood processing workers
    • hotel quarantine staff

The Bairnsdale community vaccination clinic is being operated by Bairnsdale Regional Health Service in conjunction with the Gippsland Public Health Unit, and is comprised of nurses and staff from Bairnsdale Regional Health Service and East Gippsland Shire Council.

The AstraZeneca vaccine will be given to people aged 50 and over.

The Pfizer vaccine will be given to people under 50.

The COVID-19 vaccine is free for all Australians.
