With Opening of New Bairnsdale Testing Clinic, BRHS Closes Drive-Through Testing on Weekdays

With the opening of a clinic in Bairnsdale to assess, test and diagnose respiratory cases, including COVID-19, BRHS will no longer provide drive-through COVID-19 testing on weekdays.

If you have mild or moderate respiratory systems and want to be tested for COVID-19 you must make an appointment with the clinic at this web page or by phoning (03) 4116 2014.

Bairnsdale Medical Group is operating the clinic at 20 Forge Creek Road, past the Bairnsdale RSL.

It will operate Monday to Friday, initially from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with scope for increased hours as determined by demand.

You must have mild or moderate systems in order to be tested.

People without symptoms are currently not being tested, with the exception of select targeted populations.

BRHS will operate drive-through testing on weekends only, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Drive to the carpark in front of the main hospital entrance and follow the signposted instructions.

The Australian Department of Health (DoH) funded 100 private practice respiratory clinics across Australia, in order to reduce pressure on public hospitals and primary health providers.

Gippsland Primary Health Network (PHN) has been working closely with general practices across the region to establish the clinics at the six sites in Gippsland, with other clinics in Warragul, Sale, Wonthaggi, Foster and the Latrobe Valley.
