Metung Bloodhounds Launch 2026 Calendar Fundraiser in Support of Bairnsdale Regional Health Service Emergency Ward

Bairnsdale, VIC — The Metung Bloodhounds have launched a new fundraising initiative for Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS), with proceeds supporting vital Emergency Ward improvements.

The Metung Bloodhounds, a spirited volunteer organisation formed in 1996, have once again rallied in support of BRHS by recreating their much-celebrated calendar. The limited-edition 2026 calendar, available for sale from September 4, pays homage to the original 2007 edition, which successfully raised funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Oncology Ward at Bairnsdale Hospital.

Continuing the tradition, the 2026 calendar features 44 proud models — with nine original Bloodhounds making a return appearance. As before, the calendar tastefully showcases Bloodhound members and supporters in their natural form, embodying the group’s fun-loving spirit and their unwavering commitment to community causes.

“The Metung Bloodhounds are a true embodiment of what regional community means,” said Peter Abraham, CEO for BRHS. “Their ongoing support and the way they’ve inspired the next generation to carry the torch, demonstrate the power of community action.”

Since July 2012, the Bloodhounds have raised approximately $250,000 for 45 community-focused projects across East Gippsland. The 2026 calendar is a true community effort, with local businesses providing picturesque backdrops and donating initial costs for printing and production services to ensure that as much as possible from each sale goes directly to upgrading the Emergency Ward.

Calendars will be available for purchase at the Bairnsdale Regional Health Service hospital reception, as well as at the local businesses below throughout East Gippsland and online at https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1439415.
