Welcome Back, BRHS Volunteers

Last week was National Volunteer Week, an annual celebration of volunteers and a moment to say thank you for the work volunteers do across the nation.

Here at BRHS, we celebrated and thanked the more than 100 local people that volunteer their time and talents at BRHS.

During the height of the COVID pandemic we sadly were not able to have our volunteers on site.

But this amazingly committed bunch stuck with us through thick and thin, and are now ready to start volunteering at BRHS again.

BRHS celebrated our volunteers last week with a lovely afternoon high tea at the Redcourt Homestead.

There was lots of re-connecting, catching up and laughter, and of course there was cake!

As part of the fun we created a BRHS Volunteers Poem.

This poem was created by each individual table coming up with a sentence regarding the theme of National Volunteers Week – ‘Better Together.’

It might not be perfect, it might not make sense, but it was a lot of fun.

We hope our BRHS Better Together 2022 Volunteers Week Poem makes you smile.

Better Together poem – National Volunteer Week, May 2022

Better Together whatever the weather

Stronger & closer we are Better Together

Working to raise money is Better Together

A sense of family, friendship & fun, Better Together

Here we are together again, it’s lovely to see we have more men, Better Together

Healthier, Happier, Better Together

Together we’re, Better Together, no matter the weather.
